Amanda Parris's Other Side of the Game and Hannah Moscovitch's What a Young Wife Ought to Know are finalists for the Governor General's Literary Award for Drama, while Linda Gaboriau's translation of Wajdi Mouawad's Birds of a Kind is a finalist for Translation.
The Governor General's Literary Awards are administered by the Canada Council for the Arts, honouring excellence in Canadian literature. Winners receive $25,000. Last year, Botticelli in the Fire & Sunday in Sodom by Jordan Tannahill took home the Drama award.
