Kat Sandler is a playwright, director, screenwriter and Artistic Director of Theatre Brouhaha. She has written nineteen plays since 2011 and directed seventeen of them. She was a member of the 2014 Tarragon Playwrights Unit, where she developed Mustard, which won the 2016 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding New Play. Kat was the 2015 recipient of NOW Magazine’s Audience Choice Award for Best Director and Best Playwright, and the recipient of the Austin Film Festival’s inaugural Fiction Podcast Competition. She also writes for television. Kat is a graduate of the Queen’s University drama program. She lives in Toronto, Ontario, and writes mostly in coffee shops and bars. She can be distracted easily by pals, an exciting conversation within earshot or large dogs she sees through the window.
