Flyin' West and Other Plays
Description
In America, Flyin' West is one of the most often staged African-American plays of the nineties. Pearl Cleage was one of the earliest black women to achieve national recognition as a playwright in America, and her body of work for the stage provides a remarkable and penetrating look at the African-American experience over the last 100 years.
The volume also contains Blues for the Alabama Sky (cast 2f 3m) and Bourbon on the Border (cast 2f 2m) as well as two one-act plays Chain (cast 1f) and Late Bus to Mecca (cast 2f).
