Awards
- Winner, Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Award for Best New Work 1999
- Winner, Adams Chinese Theatre Award 1999
Description
A Chinese son must tell his parents he has moved in with his white girlfriend. In a counter-narrative, the play explodes Asian stereotypes in a B-movie spoof called Wrath of the Yellow Claw.
Reviews
"Ingenious as a Chinese puzzle, that manages to be stinging, hilarious and heartfelt as it probes cultural/racial stereotypes and universal coming-of-age angst. "
