Submissions to PLCN
Playwrights Canada
Press accepts submissions to its editorial committee all year round.
Single new plays submitted for publication consideration
must have been written by a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant,
and have had at least one professional production in the last ten
years.
The author must ensure that the first production
information, including cast and crew, is included with the manuscript.
Manuscripts must be typed or a computer printout
provided. In both cases the text must be double spaced.
If there are any complications with material
in the script, (i.e. use of music, lyrics, poetry or dialogue that
is under other copyright than the scripts author) proof that rights
have been obtained, or who controls those rights, must be enclosed.
If the script is co-authored, both authors must
agree to submit, and proof that this is the case must accompany
the manuscript.
Should you wish the manuscript to be returned
if it is not accepted, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope
with sufficient postage.
Should the play be accepted for publication, it
must be available in an electronic file.
