Sally Clark
Sally Clark is a playwright,
painter, and filmmaker. Her play, Life Without Instruction is
based on the biography of the 17th century Italian painter, Artemisia
Gentileschi, whose numerous ordeals ultimately strengthen her determination
to become an independent woman, artist and painter. Clark’s plays,
typically presented in a series of short scenes, combine comedy and
tragedy to tell the stories of strong, adventurous heroines and often
dramatize true stories.
