Norah Harding
Norah Harding was born in Bournemouth,
England. She met and married her husband, a member of the Canadian Army
stationed there and came to Canada as a War Bride in 1946, on the
Île de France. They settled in her husband’s hometown of London,
Ontario. Norah has been involved with the London Community Players for
the past decade, Ingersoll Theatre of Performing Arts, and the Woodstock
Little Theatre. She became a professional playwright at the age of 71,
when she wrote This Year, Next Year. Most of the events in the
play are factual accounts of her experience at the time. The sequel
to This Year, Next Year was written in 2000. Called Sometime,
Never, it was produced at Blyth in August 2001 and proved to be
as popular as the first play.
