Jim Betts
Jim Betts is a composer, lyricist
and librettist. His work includes musicals Little Women (2001,
with Nancy Early), Three Part Invention (1994), Colours In
The Storm (1989), Thin Ice (1987, with Doug Ellis), Jacob
Two-Two Meets The Hooded Fang (1984, with Richler, Lee, Balsam)
and The Shooting Of Dan McGrew (1984, with John Bertram).
Awards include the Floyd S.
Chalmers Canadian Children’s Play Award (1990, The Groundworld
Adventure and 1984, The Mystery of the Oak Island Treasure)
and the Dora Mavor Moore Award (Outstanding New Revue/Musical, 1984,
Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang).
