David Sherman
David Sherman
is a journalist, editor screenwriter and author of four plays. Have
a Heart, his first, was produced at The Centaur Theatre in Montreal
while he was playwright-in-residence. He has since written The Daily
Miracle, a play about editors working on the late night news desk
of a big city newspaper, The Empty Chair, a drama about how the
lives of three young people were changed by the school shooting at Dawson
College in Montreal and Place Your Bets, a comedy about love
and marriage in middle age. He has also taught screenwriting and feature
writing. He lives in Montreal and shares his life with filmmaker Francine
Pelletier.
