Andrew Moodie
Andrew Moodie was born in Ottawa,
and exploded onto the theatre scene in 1995 with his first play,
Riot (Factory Theatre; winner of the Chalmers Award).
Among productions in which
he has performed are Our Country’s Good (Great Canadian Theatre
Company), Macbeth (Grinning Dragon Productions), and Minneapolis
Dad in Whale (Young People’s Theatre). He also acted in Riot
when it was performed, in 1998, at Black Theatre Workshop. He performed
in the Young People’s Theatre production of Alice and in the HurlyBurly
and of Macbeth.
He has also performed on television.
Other plays include: Oui
(Factory Theatre), Wilbur County Blues (Blyth Festival), A
Common Man’s Guide to Loving Women (Canadian Stage Company and
the National Arts Centre) and The Lady Smith
(Theatre Passe Muraille), and The Real McCoy, which premiered
at Factory Theatre in 2006.
