Morning Juliet) , the libretto for the chamber
opera Nigredo Hotel , and book and lyrics
for the musical Anything That Moves,
as well as the collaboratively-created The
Attic, the Pearls, and 3 Fine Girls. As
an actor, she has worked in theatres across the
country, as well as in numerous feature films
and television series. MacDonald's novels Fall
On Your Knees and The Way the Crow
Flies are published internationally and
have been translated into more than twenty languages.
Belle Moral: A Natural History premiered
at the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on the-Lake,
Ontario, one of the largest classical repertory
theatres in North America. The Shaw's chosen
mandate is to produce plays written or set during
the lifetime of George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)
– “plays about the beginning of the modern world”.
This mandate is unique in world theatre.
Co-published by Playwrights Canada Press and
the Academy of the Shaw Festival.
