    Anne Nothof

    Anne Nothof is Professor of English at Athabasca University in Alberta where she has developed and taught undergraduate and post-graduate distance education courses in literature and drama. She has published critical essays on British and Canadian theatre in journals and books, and edited collections of essays and plays for Guernica, NeWest, and Playwrights Canada Press. She is a board member at NeWest Press and Athabasca University Press, and past president of the Canadian Association for Theatre Research. For twelve years she hosted a weekly radio program on drama, and developed a television series on world theatre.     Arun Lakra is a writer, doctor, and father. As a writer, Arun has produced a book on laser eye surgery, a supernatural thriller screenplay, a song to protest the demotion of Pluto, a heartfelt ballad about puke, a line of misunderstood T-shirts, and his share of illegible prescriptions. Sequence is his second stage play. His first play received rave reviews for balancing a wobbly table in his basement. Arun lives in Calgary with his wife and kids and divides his work week between his creative endeavours and his ophthalmology practice.

    Betty Lambert

    Betty Lambert was a renowned Canadian playwright and English professor at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her most famous works were the children’s play The Riddle Machine, the radio play Grasshopper Hill, the comedy Sqrieux-de-Dieu, and the dramas Under the Skin and Jennie’s Story, which was adapted into the film Heart of the Sun in 1999.     Working as a playwright largely in Toronto, Celia McBride returned to her hometown of Whitehorse in 2004 when she became Nakai Theatre’s playwright-in-residence. Celia is an award-winning and internationally recognized playwright whose work has been produced in Europe, the US, and Canada. Celia was the co-Artistic Director of Sour Brides Theatre from 2005-2010.     Christopher Morris is a director, actor, and playwright residing in Toronto. He is the founder and artistic director of Human Cargo, and is co-founder/co-artistic director of the Tununiq Arsarniit Theatre Group, an Inuit theatre company based in Pond Inlet, Nunavut. Prior to initiating these companies Christopher established himself as a director and actor. He is the recipient of the 2012 John Hirsch Prize from the Canada Council for the Arts.

    Colleen Murphy won the 2016 Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama and the 2014 Carol Bolt Award for her play Pig Girl. Her play The December Man (L’homme de décembre) won the 2007 Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama. Other plays include The Breathing Hole, Bright Burning (I Hope My Heart Burns First), Armstrong’s War, The Goodnight Bird, The Piper and Beating Heart Cadaver. She is also an award-winning filmmaker and her distinct films have played in festivals around the world. As a librettist, she has worked with composers Aaron Gervais on Oksana G. and with August Murphy-King on the short opera My Mouth on Your Heart.     Conni Massing is an award-winning writer working in theatre, film, and television. Stage credits include The Myth of Summer (Alberta Theatre Projects), Oh! Christmas Tree (Lunchbox Theatre), and her stage adaptations of W.O. Mitchell’s Jake and the Kid (Theatre Calgary) and Bruce Allen Powe’s The Aberhart Summer (Citadel Theatre). She has several publications to her credit, including five of her plays and a comic memoir, Roadtripping: On the Move with the Buffalo Gals, published by Brindle and Glass Publishing. Her writing has been recognized by Alberta Media Production Industries Association, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, the Betty Mitchell Awards, the Writers’ Guild of Alberta, and the Elizabeth Sterling Haynes Awards.
